Cyberport describes CCMF as a six-month programme offering up to HK$100,000 in seed funding for high-potential digital technology projects. It accepts individual and company applications, subject to the relevant sub-programme rules.
What the programme tests
CCMF is not only a competition for interesting ideas. Cyberport’s published vetting weights cover team capability, business model and time to market, creativity and innovation, and social responsibility. A technically clever concept without a user or a capable team is therefore incomplete.
The six-month period favours a disciplined project: one prototype, a small number of customer tests, a measurable product assumption and a clear decision at the end.
Individual or company application
Cyberport’s overview says individual applicants must be Hong Kong Identity Card holders, while company applicants must be limited companies registered and incorporated in Hong Kong on admission. Each CCMF sub-programme may add requirements, so use the corresponding official page rather than a generic checklist.
CCMF or incubation?
Cyberport’s FAQ positions CCMF around idea-stage work and prototype or MVP development. The Incubation Programme is the later option for ventures moving toward scale and market expansion. Choose based on the next six to eighteen months of work, not simply the larger possible support figure.
