2026 transition note
Export and market-entry funding after the EMF transition
The important change is structural: EMF is closing out eligible past activities while BUD becomes the current place to assess new market-development work.
If the activity is already complete
Check whether it finished on or before 30 June 2026 and whether the reimbursement window remains open. Use the Trade and Industry Department’s activity-specific FAQ to calculate the deadline. Gather contracts, invoices, proof of payment and evidence the promotion actually ran.
If the activity is new
Do not design it around an old EMF article. Review the current BUD guide, covered markets, application route and project timing before committing to an exhibition, marketplace campaign or supplier contract.
Connect funding to sourcing execution
A market-entry project often fails after approval because supplier qualification, lead times, documentation and quality control were treated as afterthoughts. Build those operating questions into the project plan. For practical background on supplier discovery and sourcing workflows, the independent guides at All For Sourcing can be a useful starting reference.
